Start a new Game
- Start by creating a new game pressing the + Create Game button or pressing the + sign in the empty game below (img1) to be redirected to the game page, where you can configure and create the new game.
- Once you are in the Dominoes.mx Game page, choose from the following options:
- Points (Choose from 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120 or 200)
- Randomize Teams (once the game start, the player teams will be randomized)
- Timed Game (each player will have 22 seconds to place a dominoe in the game, if the time is over, the computer will choose a dominoe to move)
- Private Game (Choose to hide the game from other players in the front page)
- After choosing your options press + Create a New Game a new Game ID will be created and shown in the Game ID box.
- Type your nickname and press, Join Game, an avatar with your name will appear in the players area
- Now is time to share the Game with your friends, you can do this step by one of the following methods:
- Press the copy button next to the Game ID text and share with your friends using your preferred method. (recommended)

- Share the Game ID with your friends and ask them to type it or paste it in the Game ID box in the front page.
- Invite them to visit the page https://dominoes.mx and if your new created game is not private, it will be there for them to join.
- Press the copy button next to the Game ID text and share with your friends using your preferred method. (recommended)
- When all 4 players have joined, each of them should press the Start Game button to begin.
Start a game and play against the computer
You can play with the computer using the following modes:- 1 human with 3 CPUs - you, your computer teammate and two computer rivals.
- 2 humans with 2 CPUs - you, other human and two computer players.
- 3 humans with 1 CPU - you, two other humans and one computer player.
Watch a running game
You can watch a running game by clicking on the Watch Game button in the current running games section of the home page. This will allow you to see the game in progress without participating.
- Once you are in the game, you can see the players, the dominoes on the board and the remaining dominoes in each player's hand.
- You can also see the game history and the current player in turn.
- You will also be able to chat with other players
- Note that you cannot interact with the game, as it is a watch-only mode.
Only public games can be watched, private games will not be available for watching.
In game menu options
In the game, you can access the in-game menu by clicking on the hamburger icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Menu options include:
- Settings - this will take you to the modal window to see the players and score history.
- Chat - this will open the chat window to communicate with other players.
- Helper - this will enable the helper options (show who has the hand, dim your not playable dominoes in your turn, activate the chain history as tooltips)
- Zoom Layout - this will modify the layout of the game board for better visibility when zooming with friends
- Exit - this will allow you to leave the game and return to the home page.
How to Play
Basic Rules:
- The player with the highest double ([6|6]) goes first.
- The game continues until one player places their last domino, winning the round. If no player can make a move and the game is blocked, the player with the lowest total of pips (dots) on their remaining dominoes wins the round.
- The winner of the round scores the total number of pips on all opponent's remaining dominoes.
- The game typically continues for multiple rounds until a team reaches the game score setup, 80, 100, 120 or 200 points.
Dragging and dropping a dominoe
- When is your turn, click and drag a dominoe to the board and drop it in the desired location
- In this example, the dominoe was dropped above the [5,2]. see below the result.
Visual Indicators
The game interface provides several visual indicators to help players understand the game state and their options.
- Players in turn will be highlighted in orange and will have a green glow. If the game is set to be timed, a countdown in seconds will appear beneath their name.
- If a player is blocked (have no options to play), its name will glow in red
- The player with most wins will earn the crown badge
- If the helper option is turned on, a hand icon will appear in the player with the hand (player with the best chance of winning the game in progress), and the dominoes that are not playable will dim when is your turn.
